Siguro Bamboo Base sharpens almost any knife
This stone is particularly suitable for sharpening frequently used knives. Siguro Bamboo Base uses extra-hard corundum to sharpen knives made of even very hard steel. On a 400 grit stone, you first sharpen a dull knife. A 1000 grit stone is then used for fine grinding and edge maintenance.
In addition to the Siguro Bamboo Base 400/1000, the package also includes a non-slip silicone pad to ensure safe working. There is also a practical guide - even complete beginners can start sharpening knives. Since this stone is designed for grinding with water, there is also a liquid dispenser in the package. Of course there is a trowel for comparing the surface.
Before grinding, the grinding stone must be soaked in water for 10 to 20 minutes. Then you can start grinding on the rougher side - put the knife at an angle of 15 to 20° to the stone (or use a guide) and then make smooth circles on the stone. Just a few strokes from each side of the knife. Once the knife is sharpened, inspect it. If the blade is smooth and shiny, it is properly sharpened. If the blade is dull or irregular, the grinding must be repeated.
When you have finished grinding, just rinse the stone with water and a common detergent. It also includes a bamboo base in which the grinding stone can be stored, making the Siguro Bamboo Base 400/1000 an attractive addition to your kitchen. Allow the stone to dry thoroughly before placing it in the bamboo base.
